Step 4: Registration:

We need the following documents to submit an application on Kaveri Online Servies for cancellation of Power of Attorney

Original copy of Power of Attorney
Draft of Cancel Power of Attorney
Aadhaar

Your application approves within 2–3 working days. Make the payment and book the slot for registration

Submit the following documents in registration counter in sub-registrar office:

Application summary report
Cancel Power of Attorney
Aadhaar

The officer will take your biometric fingerprint and webcam photo. Sub-registrar will scan the “cancel of power of attorney” and hand over the hard copy to you.

Step 5: Publish

Share the registered copy with your attorney (to whom you gave POA) and advocate, and let them know that you canceled the POA.

If required, publish in newspapers. Publish in both local and English-language newspapers. Mentioned the registration number in the publication.

REGISTER THE “REVOCATION OF POWER OF ATTORNEY”

Generally, Power of attorney (POA) is executed in two types, they are

Local power of attorney (it means that POA executed and registered within India)
Foreign power of attorney (It means that POA executed & attested in foreign country)

Let me explain the revocation procedure for both types of POA.

Below is the procedure to revoke local POA:

Step 1: Prepare the revocation draft in word format. The draft looks like the below image.

Step 2: Submit the application in sub-registrar office

Step 3: Pay the government fee

Stamp duty: Rs.1000
Registration fee: Rs.200
Scanning fee: Rs. 30 per page

Step 4: Print the POA draft on document paper for registration

Step 5: Carry the following documents to sub-registrar office

Revocation of Power of attorney (printed draft on document paper)
Application summary report
Transaction receipt
Aadhaar
Two witnesses and their Aadhaar

Step 6: Register the “revocation of power of attorney”

The executant and attorney sign the “Revocation Power of Attorney”. Sub-registrar takes photo and fingerprint.

This completes the registration of “revocation of power of attorney”.

Below is the procedure to revoke foreign power of attorney

Step 1: Prepare the revocation draft in word format. A draft looks like the below image

Step 2: Print the draft on normal A4 size paper

Step 3: Get the POA attested from Indian consulate or notary public in your country.

Step 4: Send the attested POA to India through reputed courier

Step 5: Your local assistant in India, should carry following documents to District Registrar office (DRO)

Revocation of power of attorney (came from foreign)
Stamp duty payment receipt
Passport copy of executant
Requisition letter (refer to the below mock)

Step 6: DRO adjudicates “revocation of power of attorney”. An adjudication looks like the below image.
